Feline assassin as rider spokesperson

I did not know that, somehow, remarkably, unbelievably, stupidly, the CPA decided to use Antonio Tiberi (aka Cat Killer) as the talking head in a video today asking Giro d'Italia fans to behave in a respectful way.

There is tone-deaf, and then there is using Tiberi as an ambassador for anything, least of all respect.

Good story on Escape here.

He won't get in any trouble unless he wears bibs of the wrong color.

Killing a cat in Italy is a pretty serious crime (as it should be), so I’m glad Elefantino linked this to keep him in the news in a bad way.

A lot of a person’s moral compass becomes very clear when we see how they treat animals.

The UCI is worried about shorts, socks and tilted in brake levers. They don't have time to worry about guys who start on animals and work their way up to humans. Like Dahmer.

I wonder what it feels like to have lived such a perfect life that one can get on social media and judge others for doing one stupid act while young.

Hell, I'm over a century old and I still do dumb and stupid stuff. Like making this comment above. ;)

Thought this was going to be political satire

but that's not allowed.

Like electronic shifting, it would be way too easy!

Indeed, commendable restraint on everyone's part.
I myself am resisting even though I am laughing at the prospective post.

They're probably terrified of Victor Campanaerts.

I did too. But there’s No, ah-“em” way that’s permitted round here.

Elefantino 05-09-2024 05:12 AM

FYI, the UCI has backtracked and now said the purple bottoms are OK. Apparently, when it threatened Pog with disqualification it cited a rule that didn't exist.

Killing a household pet with a BB gun isn't a normal youthful indiscretion.

Mr. Pink 05-09-2024 07:49 AM

Seriously, there have been studies that connect young cat abusers and killers with those that kill humans, sometimes in a serial fashion, later in life. Keep an eye on this dude.
