SRAM AXS XPLR with 1x chainring on road bike.

XPLR 1x is brilliant for road. It offers excellent range and steps. Shifts are perfect.

I use the 10-36 for everyday road riding…the 10,11,12,13…36 is perfect.
Then I have the 10-44 for very hilly rides.

It is worth trying a few chainrings to find the size that feels natural and right. I like 42 but have experimented with larger and smaller.

No 12 in the 10-44. Wind that 13 up before the 11.

I had a gravel/cx rig with a 46 front ring with a 10-44 rear. Worked great but whomever installed the chain could have left a few links on it. worked fine tho plan to re set that kit on a new bike. Currently running a similar setup ( reg 10-33 rear) with a 46t on a pure road bike and it rocks
