Long time Fizik Aliante users: anything else you like?

Need to pick up a saddle quick, and am thinking of trying something new in a front cutout section style seat. Been a user of Fizik Aliante for many years, pretty much since they 1st came out. My seat parts ain't broke and don't need fixin', but...the thought of trying something new out there came to mind.

Anyone try the Fizik Tempo Aliante R1 by chance?

That’s the seat I just bought, I actually bought 2 of them. I’m about to install it and try it out this week.
Can’t tell you yet, but it looks like it’ll be good.

I've been a long-time user/fan of the fizik Aliante (I've had some variant of it on all my road bikes since 2006) but in 2018 when I got a Cannondale CAADX 105 Disc SE, the stock saddle that came with that bike -- which I believe was a Fabric Scoop radius Sport -- felt so similar to what I was used to that I never bothered replacing it.

I’ve been using Fizik 3d printed saddles.

They are garbage. The only reason I ride them is because every single one I’ve owned has broken in some fashion within the warranty period and the all have been replaced under warranty. When the ones on my bikes go, I’ll be done with Fizik.I am not exaggerating — I’ve had 5 saddles replaced in the last 15 months. BikeTiresDirect has been awesome to deal with.

I was a long time Aliante user then got a bike with a Bontrager Paradigm saddle and never looked back.

I’m not sure how they compare, but a complete bike came to me with a Fizik Kurve Chameleon that agreed with me very nicely. I’ve found some used to fit on other bikes, but generally no longer available and a shop recommended the Fabric Scoop Shallow. Those have been great for me and can still find them new.

Maybe try the 00 in the same line. I find them to be slightly more comfortable than the cheaper models. Im happy on Antares, arione or Aliante 00 but below that some are too squishy or the frame is too flexible and sags over time.

I loved the kurves and used the Bull, which was closer to the arione. I have three in really good shape that can use home. One of them has carbon rails.

I still love the classic Aliante saddle but (as others have mentioned) have found the Fabric Scoop Radius to be very similar and super affordable. Pretty much the only two saddles I use anymore.

Another long time Aliante user here. Like others here, I pretty much just ride Aliante and Fabric Scoop saddles.

I recently switched to the S-Works Power Mirror 143mm saddle.

The classic shape Aliante is/was on all my bikes. I decided to try the Power saddle because everyone says it's awesome. I like it despite my initial skepticism. It is also odd-looking and wildly expensive. The shapes are not similar, but the Power saddle is the only one I've tried and like better than the Aliante. I just ordered another one to replace another dying Aliante.

Seconding the rec of the Fabric saddle if you're looking for something with a similar ride and easy on the bank account. That said, even though my body works well with an Aliante, a very different saddle has been doing it for me lately: the Selle Flite (90s type model).

Actually just checked and the Aliante is 145mm while the Flite is 146mm, so pretty close actually. Just another option if that aesthetic works for your bike.
